Jimmy Pardo - Man, Myth, Gentleman
So Friday I made the long trip down to Sunnyvale to see Jimmy Pardo. I have listened to every episode of his podcast and his albums. I was very excited, but I was also realistic.
The week before I was really excited to see Doug Benson and I was very disappointed. He was clearly stoned out of his mind and I felt disrespected. It was the 8 o’clock show….how bad was he for the 10:30? So this week I was keeping my expectations more realistic.
WOW! Jimmy was great!!! His show was spot on. I got to watch a master of crowd work. He was amazing. Then, I stopped by, before my 2hr drive home, and said hi. He was a true gentleman. He treated me soooo nice. We chatted for what must have been 30 min. He even had an out 5min in when they wanted to shut the doors for the 10:15 show, but he shuffled out and we talked further. He was truly gracious.
There are very few times in life a situation lives up to expectations…but this one did!
